What Is Balance Excellence?
Traditional fall prevention often focuses on identifying risk after someone has already fallen or developed noticeable balance difficulties.
ZIBRIO offers a different approach.
Its Stability Scale uses a simple 60-second standing test to measure balance and predict fall risk over the following 12 months, helping communities identify vulnerabilities earlier and objectively track improvements.
But technology alone does not create exceptional outcomes.
The Black Diamond Awards recognize communities that turn those insights into action through consistent testing and retesting, resident education, clinical collaboration, and a culture that empowers residents to improve their balance.
Recognizing Real Change and Real Impact
"These communities have demonstrated what is possible when balance becomes a priority across an entire community," said Dr. Katharine Forth, CEO and Co-Founder of ZIBRIO.
"They haven't simply adopted new technology. They've embraced the program, engaged their residents, and delivered measurable improvements in balance and fall risk. The value of that to people's lives cannot be overstated. They are creating real change and real impact, and we are delighted to recognize their achievements."
Celebrating the Teams Behind the Success
ZIBRIO also recognizes the dedicated staff, leadership teams, and physical therapy partners whose commitment helps translate balance insights into meaningful improvements for residents.
Over the coming days, ZIBRIO will feature the winning communities and their therapy partners, sharing more about the people, programs, and achievements behind this year's awards.
Congratulations to all six 2026 Black Diamond Award winners for raising the standard of Balance Excellence in senior living.
